Plus, all pleated fabrics are determined by 3 basic parameters:

Light transmission – the penetration of light through the fabric. The lower the percentage, the cooler the vibe inside, as less light and heat join the room.

Light reflection – the reflection of sunlight to the outside. The higher the value, the more light and heat the fabric reflects and less sneaks into the room.

Light absorption – the light absorbed by the fabric and converted into heat energy. The higher the value, the more heat is released back into the room giving you the warmest welcome!

These custom pleated shades without drilling are clamped onto the openable part of the window frame with the help of 2 brackets each at the top and bottom. Explore the magic of perfect measurements:

Width = glass pane width incl. sealing rubber + 1’’ projection per side. Please note the position of your window handle as min. 0.2’’ of space between the fabric and handle should be left.
Height = height of the whole window frame + 1.5’’

Frequently asked questions

Are the mountings interchangeable?

Our in-house designed Click&Forget System enables the swap to different holders at any time: whether it’s another preferred clamp option, combining two clamp options or from gluing to screwing. However keep in mind that pleated shades with drilling or with gluing are not wider than the glazing bead. A swap to clamp holders can result in a visible light gap on the sides. Changing from clamp holders to an installation with drilling or with gluing is only possible if your pleated shade is not wider than the glazing bead.

Can pleated shades be washed or cleaned?

Yes. Should your beloved shades get stained or dirty, there are a couple of steps to consider in order to get your shades back to as good as new. Let’s dive right into the how to clean pleated shades. After carefully removing possible dust with a dry brush, use some lukewarm water with a mild detergent and a soft non-fuzzy cloth to wipe and dab the affected area. Don’t rub and drench your shade in the mixture, as this could lead to non-reversible damages.

In the event of stubborn dirt, you can prepare a bath consisting of a fine fabric detergent solution. The solution should not be hotter than 30ºC (about 85ºF). Close the pleated shade completely and swirl it in the mixture. Afterwards rinse the window shade with some clear water and squeeze it gently to remove excess water. Finally hang your shade up and leave it closed to dry for about 12-16 hours. During the drying process the window shade should be closed and opened again to prevent the pleats from sticking together. And there you go – as good as new!

How to install pleated shades?

The installation process depends on the chosen bracket type. For all brackets with clamping the installation process is as follows:

1) Slide the Up&Down handles onto the aluminum profile rails of your pleated shades.
2) Clamp the clamp holders onto your window frame.
3) Slide the cord tensioning shoes onto the installed holders. Keep in mind that the cords should not be tangled or too loose. If the cords are too loose, carefully tie new knots above the current ones and cut the excess cord off.
4) Remove the plastic cuff wrapped around your pleated shade and enjoy the shade!

For an installation with gluing or with drilling the installation process is almost identical. The only difference is in step 2:

For gluing – clean the window frame with the provided cleaning cloth, remove the glue protection from the adhesive holders and glue the adhesive holders at the height of the glazing bead corners;
For drilling – from the provided brackets choose the one that lays as perpendicular as possible to the glass pane with the spacer touching the glass pane or sealing rubber, pre-drill two holes with a 2mm diameter in the corners of the glazing bead, screw the brackets on and remove the spacer.
